Strong 7 magnitude quake strikes eastern Russia – USGS



A strong 7 magnitude earthquake struck eastern Russia on Saturday, the U.S. Geological Survey said.

The quake struck 109 km (67 miles) north of Petropavlovsk-Kamchatskiy, USGS said. It struck at a relatively deep 153 km.

There were no initial reports of damage or casualties.

Black Lives Matter (BLM) ‘tent city’ in Toronto: 100s of Canadians protest police brutality

Hundreds of people came out to support the Black Lives Matter campaign in Canada’s most populated city, Toronto, calling for an end to police brutality. Protesters gathered outside police headquarters carrying signs and waving flags. Saturday’s demonstration began at 4 pm local time, closing off College Street between Bay and Yonge, as speeches, songs, and dances were held outside Toronto Police Headquarters.
