Gambia's former president, Yahya Jammeh flees the country


Gambia’s former President, Yahya Jammeh, on Friday night left the country to Guinea in the wake of elections that ousted him after 22 years in power.

Yahya left the country in company of his wife and Guinean president, Alpha Conde.

Adama Barrow who is his successor would return to the country to assume office after he was sworn in at the Gambian Embassy in Senegal on Thursday.
