Hundreds of people came out to support the Black Lives Matter campaign in Canada’s most populated city, Toronto, calling for an end to police brutality. Protesters gathered outside police headquarters carrying signs and waving flags. Saturday’s demonstration began at 4 pm local time, closing off College Street between Bay and Yonge, as speeches, songs, and dances were held outside Toronto Police Headquarters. Major Attack On Mecca’s Grand Mosque Thwarted, Say Officials

Saudi Arabian authorities on Friday said they had thwarted a major attack on the Grand Mosque in the holy city of Mecca. A statement issued by the Interior Ministry said a suicide bomber detonated explosives after he was cornered by security personnel in a building, Saudi-based Al Arabiya reported. The explosion, which resulted in a building collapse, hurt six foreign nationals and five security officials, Reuters reported. The statement said three groups had planned the attack on the holy site, which draws millions of devotees during the holy month of Ramadan. Two of the groups were based in Mecca and the third in Jeddah, Al Arabiya reported. No group has claimed responsibility for the incident. Officials have arrested five of the accused, the statement said. The suicide bomber was traced down in the city’s Assila district, while a second attack was “foiled in Ajyad al-Masafi neighborhood”, Al Arabiya said. At least 2 dead in tanker explosion in Duisburg shipyard, Germany (PHOTOS, VIDEO)

© TONY's GASP ! HOLLYWOOD / YouTube An explosion on the Julius Rütgers tanker at Duisburg's shipyard on Thursday morning killed at least two people, German media reports. The two deceased workers were said to have been loading something on the tanker. The third worker is currently missing and is being searched for, according to police. A spokesperson for local law enforcement told RIA Novosti they have confirmation the explosion took place on the Julius Rütgers motor tanker. "She was moored at the shipyard and the blast was on the vessel. Two bodies have been found aboard. They were probably workers who had access to the motor tanker during repair. The third worker is currently missing." The cause of the blast is still unclear representatives of the local fire brigade have said. The fire on the tanker has now been extinguished.
